Sometimes I’m disappointed that the present day has failed to live up to the future promised by the kid’s books of my childhood. Where is our Moon colony? What about that base on Mars? Whatever happened to flying cars?
But then again, nobody ever predicted just what the internet would do for entertainment and twenty years on, I’d say it actually feels like a fair exchange. Last night I realised that my broadband connection was capable of handling two simultaneous live streams from iPlayer of the last matches in Group A of Euro 2012, Poland vs Czech Republic and Greece vs Russia. Thanks to modern 1080p monitors, I was able to comfortably fit both football matches on to the same screen for DOUBLE FITBA ACTION. This will now be by preferred way to watch all simultanous games for the rest of the European Championships.
We’re living in the future, ladies and gentlemen, living in the future.
